Dr. Natalia Fey is a Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour, BI Norwegian Business School, an ICF-certified organizational coach, and a co-founder of Climate Coaching Alliance Norway. She defended her doctoral dissertation, “Advancing coaching for leadership development: Coaching as an enabler of learning and well-being in local and global organizations,” at Hanken School of Economics in Finland, in the Fall of 2023.
Natalia's research aims to deepen scholarly and practitioner understanding of how coaching enables leadership development beyond mainstream coaching forms and organizational contexts, and contributes to more inclusive leadership development. In particular, Natalia examines intercultural leadership coaching and peer coaching in little-studied organizational contexts such as international development organizations and self-managing organizations. In her research, she draws on more than ten years of professional experience in intercultural leadership coaching and training in Nordics and China. Her previous work has been published in Organizational Dynamics and Advances in Global Leadership. Natalia is a regular presenter at the Academy of Management and European International Business Academy annual meetings, and a reviewer for several leading management journals and management conferences. She received a prestigious Best Reviewer Award at the 2022 Academy of Management International Management Division.
Natalia Fey’s additional research interests include coaching for sustainability leadership, longitudinal approach to leadership development, dark sides of leadership development, and research methodology. Natalia is commited to enhancing the credibility of coaching in organizations. Through her scholar-practitioner collaborations, she seeks to enhance the societal impact of coaching research.
