Corporate communications is gaining in importance in turbulent times. However, this does not always mean that internal appreciation or the available resources for communication managers and their teams rise. What are the reasons? How are communicators perceived by others in the company? What can they do to raise their profile? Should they explain their contribution and services to top management, middle management, or all employees?  This seminar combines research- and practice-based perspectives on these questions: Professor Ansgar Zerfass (BI Norwegian Business School and Leipzig University) reports about an empirical study that sheds light on these questions and explains different strategies to raise the bar. Marthe Skaar (Chief Communications and External Relations Officer at Norges Bank Investment Management) will provide practical reflections from her extensive work experience on how to show the value of communication to internal stakeholders. Following, all participants are invited to share insights and discuss with the panelists.

The event is co-hosted by the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) together with #NORA – The Nordic Alliance for Communication & Management.
