External employees
This page is for external employees who have their daily work at BI but are not employed by BI.

If appropriate, please inform your manager about the issue.
Examples of what you should report:
- Accidents, dangerous situations and close calls
- Issues with the physical or psychosocial working environment
- Violations of HSE acts and regulations

BI has zero tolerance for any form of bullying and harassment, including sexual harassment. Harassment is in violation of the Working Environment Act and the Equality and Anti-Discrimination. Preventing and dealing with harassment is a management responsibility, but it is also the employee's duty to speak up and implement measures to create a healthy and good working environment.

Report deviations related to information security and privacy breaches as quickly as possible.
Do not include confidential information (eg confidential information, sensitive personal information etc) in the message.
Examples of what you should report
- Misdirected e-mail and attachments, especially if it included personal data.
- Wrong delivery or publishing of information or personal data.
- Routines that are either missing, not working, or not followed. For example, storing information longer than you need (both originals and copies).
- Business and research secrets in wrong hands.
- Username and password in wrong hands.
Report immediately and elaborate later if you do not have the overview now. We will request more information if we need it.
What we need to know
- What has happened, where and how?
- When did you notice the issue?
- Has the information become available (or potentially available) to unauthorized persons? How many, and where?
- Who can we contact for more information?

Report all problems and deficiency in buildings and rooms. This includes problems with:
- ventilation
- cleaning
- the technical or physical environment
- building services for employees

Censurable conditions are situations where there are breaches of the law, international written guidelines, or offences to ethical norms to which there is broad consensus in society.
- Examples of censurable conditions
- Danger to life or health
- Risk to climate or environment
- Corruption or other kinds of economic criminality
- Abuse of authority
- Unjustifiable working or study environment
- Breaches of personal data security
