Processing time
BI processes applications on a rolling basis. The processing time for admissions will vary according to the time of year, the course or programme in question and the educational background of the applicant.
Processing times are determined by the time when all relevant documentation has been received by BI and your application is thereby ‘complete.’ If we must request more documentation in order to continue processing your application, the processing time is therefore adjusted to the date you have submitted the missing documentation. Please note that if you are completing your degree in the spring semester in order to qualify for admission, the processing time window begins from the date we have received your last examination results.
Bachelor Programmes: Full-time
-
Educational background and processing time:
- Secondary school: 4 weeks
- Graduating from Norwegian secondary school this spring: Will be assessed in June or July
- Applicants to the 2nd or 3rd academic year: 15 weeks
- Academic recognition (credit transfer): 15 weeks
- International education, applying to the first (1) year: 8 weeks
-
Applicants with this background can submit an application without attaching a diploma until they receive this in June. Once the application is received by BI, it is registered in the system and the case administrator will add the documentation that must be uploaded with the application. The application is then returned to the applicant who will submit documentation as soon as this becomes available. The applicant will receive an application decision within 4 weeks after all documentation has been uploaded and submitted.
-
In order to apply for admission to the 2nd or 3rd academic year of our bachelor programmes, you must have first completed a minimum number of academic credits to qualify. Moreover, your application will first be processed when you have received your grades from the spring semester (assuming this is necessary to meet the admission requirements for the 2nd or 3rd academic year).
