Oslo International CCl Network

In 2023, Prof. Anne-Britt Gran (BI Centre for Creative Industries) and Prof. Trine Bille (CBS, imagine.. Centre for Creative Industries and Institutions) initiated a new international network of research centers for cultural and creative industries.

About

The background for the network initiative was the need for closer collaboration between research centers, in order to develop and improve the research field and to strengthen the impact on policymaking.

The first meeting of the network took place at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, November 2023, where the network was named Oslo International CCI Network (OICCIN). The next network meeting took place at KEDGE Business School in Marseille in September 2024, and the program included, among other things, a new research agenda and expanding the network to safeguard its international ambitions (see overview of members in a separate tab).

OICCIN’s vision:

To set the international research agenda for the cultural and creative industries and to show intellectual leadership in every way.

OICCIN’s missions are:

to share national/regional knowledge and expertise internationally
to strengthen international research collaboration
to strengthen the funding of the research field
to inform priorities for research funders
to advise stakeholders, both public and private actors, both at regional, national, and global level
